Using the Rich Text Editor

All three types of assignments are equipped with a Description box where you can include information and directions for your students. In addition to allowing normal text, this box is equipped with a Rich Text Editor which allows you to add pictures, hyperlinks and format your text to help you engage your students. These functions can be accessed from the editing bar at the top of the Description textbox.

 

Undo- This button undoes the most recent action.

Redo- This button redoes the most recent action.

Bold- This button makes highlighted text Bold

Italic- This button makes highlighted text Italic

Align Left- This button aligns highlighted text to the left side of the screen.

Align Center- This button aligns highlighted text to the middle of the screen.

Align Right- This button aligns highlighted text to the right side of the screen.

Justify- This button justifies highlighted text.

Bulleted List- This button inserts or removes bullets from text. By clicking on the down facing arrow next to the button you can change the style of the bullets that will appear in the text.

Numbered List- This button inserts or removes numbers from text. By clicking on the down facing arrow next to the button you can change the style of the numbers that will appear in the text.

Decrease Indent- This button decreases the indent of highlighted text.  

Increase Indent- This button increases the indent of highlighted text.

Hyperlink- This button makes highlighted text into a hyperlink.

Source- This button allows you to view and edit the source code for the page.

Image- This button inserts a image.
