Program records hold together a collection of Competencies and Courses that together transcribe a credential for a student.
Holds together the collection of Competencies, Assignments, and/or Modules so that students can experience a traditional course based delivery.
The version of the academic offering (course, competency collection, module, whatever level enrollment is offered at by the institution) per timeframe offered. Academic offerings may have more than one instance taught by different instructors within an academic term.
Academic Plans establish a relationship between an Academic Offering, and either a student or faculty Contact record. Think of it as enrolling the student or faculty member into the course. The Academic Offering controls which Academic Offerings students and faculty will see in their navigation bar.
Any work the student will complete to demonstrate competency. Typically, these are projects but Assignment records can also be research papers, discussion groups, quizzes or any other activity where the learner is going to complete an activity where a rubric can be used to assess performance.
Learner Assignments are records that join a Student to an Assignment. The Learner Assignment stores all records that track student performance within the assignment and tracks actions as submissions and evaluations are made.
Learner Performance Assessment
Learner Performance Assessment are the Junction between a specific student and the Descriptor/Level associated with each Criteria from the Assignment Rubric. In other words, the Learner Performance Assessment is the score the student receives (on rubric) after an Assignment has been submitted.
Competency Transcript displays the current (and eventually Final) status of a specific Competency. Essentially this displays whether the student has mastered the Competency or not.
